Parks In Platte City

Cox Park-This park named In memory of Freda and Mike Cox, who took care of this land for many years.Cox Park has a park benche and will be updated and beautified at a later date.Spring Street and 2nd Street. Open dawn to dusk.

Riverview Park-72-Acre area with multi-use field, playground, basketball court, walking trails, Baseball diamonds, fishing pond, shelter house & 9 hole frisby Golf Course. Trails - are wood chip covered and meanders thru the woods and meadows.  Beautiful nature scenery.  This is a must for anyone that enjoys nature and all her beauty.Soccer Field - Play and practice on this field is scheduled by the parks and recreation department.Play Ground - Come and enjoy our stat of the art playground.  Kids enjoy the swings, slides and monkey bars. Pack a picnic lunch and relax in the shaded comfort of the shelter house. Our   wood chip covered walking trail starts here at the playground equipment and winds through a great woodland setting.  This is your chance to get back to nature while enjoying our incredible scenery.Basketball Court -  Play anytime you want.  Water fountain near-by. Fishing Pond - Fishing permit required for anyone 16 years of age and older.  Pond is located just behind the basketball courts and is stocked with catfish.Shelter House - Located next to the playground area.  The shelter features a grill. Tables, Benches and a water fountain. For shelter house rental, see reservations and rental or call City Hall - 816-858-3046.Baseball Diamonds -  Four "T" ball fields that are used for practice and Two Medium size fields (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders) used for practice.  On-going updates - under construction.

 JW Lewis Park- Located 405 4th St. Playground, swimming pool, bathrooms, sand volleyball.

 Platte Valley Park-301 Ensign Road, Shelter, playground, and bathrooms

 Harrel Ferrel park- 2 Lighted Softball fields, Playground, Shelter house, picnic tables.(Meeting space in shelter house.) Open dawn to dusk.

Platte Valley Plaza Park-1000 Fox Run Trail (Off Ensign Drive just South of the LDS Church) Large open area with a little Play Ground Area, Swing Sets, Shelter House and Bathrooms. Open dawn to dusk.

Settler's Crossing Park-Settler's Crossing Park is located at the end of Main Street along the Platte River.
